This week we've been learning about ANZAC day.We read lots of poems and texts about remembering the soldiers and those who died during the great war and all the wars since then. LEST we Forget is all about not forgetting the soldiers that fought in the war. They helped us keep our country peaceful.
ANZAC stands for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps.
There was once a medial soldier from Canada that wrote a poem called "Flanders Fields." He was so sad from seeing all the death around him that he wrote this poem. He then threw it away. Some time later another soldier found the poem, thought it was a really good and he wanted to get it published.
